The Rohu Oreo Shake

If you are a health conscious individual. Do not try this at home.

As sinful as it could get, the oreo shake is a family and friend favorite. I have been offered handsome incentives to treat them to it. Its not difficult to make but it definitely brings a smile on your face if you make it right. Do try it if you are in that particular "I dont care" mood...

For 2 servings you will require,

  • Oreo biscuits - 1 small pack
  • Vanilla ice cream - about two to four big scoops (thats totally upto you buddy :) )
  • chocolate bar- 1 medium (dairy milk compliments the flavor)
  • milk- a glass would be enough (it has to be half ice cream, half milk)
  • sugar- swad anusar, mine has 2 tablespoons
  • chocolate sauce- in tolerable quantity (2 spoons)
  • vanilla essence- half a tablespoon, can be skipped
  • coffee- half tablespoon, pressed (only for the flavour)
Break the biscuits, put them in the blender, Do the same with the chocolate bar and add. Put the sugar, ice cream, chocolate sauce, coffee, milk and essence. You can use different flavours of ice cream like chocolate, strawberry, butterscotch to be innovative. Let them all embrace each other in the blender for about five to ten seconds depending on how you like it, Crunchy or smooth. Putting it in the freezer for fifteen minutes will make the consistency smoother.
Pour in your glass, top it with whipped cream and crushed chocolate or relish it as it is.

And if it doesn't work out, I will not recognize you and secretly remove this post (rubbing hands with evil smile) ... However looking at the ingredients, you will have a fair idea, that it can hardly go wrong except if you make it too sweet...

Have a Great Day

Purani Jeans

For those of us who have lived in hostel during our college days will probably agree that hostel life makes up a huge part of their finest memories. I've had the loveliest time and perhaps its not a big deal to say that it has a huge role in my growth as a person. This is a little collage that represents one of the happiest times of my life..

One Day in March

Today she sang to anonymous shores...
beloved waters sang along...
together in the symphony of their solitudes..
their souls back to where they belong.

Today she sketched across the canvas..
the love of longing skies...
they knit the arc with seven wet hues..
to laugh and shine in her eyes.

Today she wrote for her blessed book...
wrote a thousand verses divine...
scattered them across the starry skies..
and dissolved them in every wine.

Today she danced for the spring..
and allowed no bloom to wither.
Today the world beheld her smile.
Today you would have fallen in love with her. :)

By the child...

When balming all my hundred pains
When mending quilts of warmth
When writing tales of unlit lanes
When winters play in North.

When trying to boon the haughty banes
When lighting young candles aloud
When thunder sings in dancing drains
When waters wash me proud.

When birds bring home the golden grains
When squirrels sketch delight
When meaning ceases to embrace the chains
When solitary walks the night.

When in love the happy rains
With the tall grey lofty clouds
When thunder sings in dancing drains
When waters wash me proud.

Spreading the Sunshine

Writing is perhaps the best gift of mankind to mankind. To be able to express oneself in the written word is a blessing. A HUGE BLESSING!! And those who are bestowed with it are incredible human beings. What sketches itself on paper from their musing pens is wondrous and beautiful, profound and moving but above all,  it is that pen writes on the heart of every reader. And they are never the same again.
My attempts at writing are feeble and stem only from the desire to feel what it feels to write. For it really is one of the most overwhelming feelings I am acquainted with. This effort was acknowledged in the most beautiful manner by the Quixotic Knight . He gave me the gift of sunshine and henceforth it is my responsibility to pass on it to deserving pen holders.

The first recipient..

Well… u really don’t know how you gift sunshine to sunshine. This unbelievably beautiful lady establishes such a profound connection between her heart and the paper that when your eyes behold it, you are stunned and often open mouthed in happy wonder. One of the most effortless, and sublime pieces of writing that I have come across.
It makes you think, it makes you thank,
It makes you smile, and colors the blank.
Its like that symphony that dissolves in your ears, flows into your veins and seeps into your tired soul to make it look up again. Anubha Tyagi knocks at the door of your heart that you are more than willing to open for her and she enters like an angel to bring in the sunshine. J

Recipient, the second

Its not everyday that you come across someone whose heart can uninhibitedly converse with the world and its inhabitants through the the humble medium of a pen (or keyboard). Anupam's "Reflections" tabout hope, love, and life are presented in such a delightfully earnest and profound manner, that you are compelled to read. I discovered him today itself, and thanked God for it. The language is simple enough to connect with the beholder and genuine enough to be felt through. And the delightful variety is bound to keep you interested. This blog is a must read for anyone who loves to think and ponder. You'll appreciate it immensely. Hats off to you buddy.
Keep Delighting!

Random blog hunting can be very rewarding sometimes.. umm. actually most of the times. Just discovered this masterpiece by chance and I am so absolutely glad that I did. When you come across such stunning work, you just know, that in capturing a breathtaking moment, there is a lot more required than just pushing a button.. Soulful!
Hats off to thee Brian!
Happy Sunshining!

Qne day in a life...

Today my ear met music that charmed it
Today my eyes met waters that becalmed it
Today my spirit met a soul that balmed it
Today my tongue met words that armed it
Today the rains that did not happen
Washed away some long lived fears
Today i smiled for a friend and said cheers
Today i left the book unread
Today i saw the sunrays spread
Today i lied, today i truthed
Today i died, today i lived.
Today life took me in its embrace with love
Today randomness delighted the dove...
Today i hold the dawns cool hands
and talk to dreams in rainbow sands...
:)
